recent successes
I am so happy that I have had the opportunity to work with some absolutely amazing clients -- selling their homes, or helping them to find new places to live. I have particularly enjoyed working with first time buyers, helping them through the process. Below are some of my favorite purchases and sales from the past year or so.

With a lovely neighborhood association, proximity to Southport Corridor and parks, this gorgeous four bedroom duplex home sold in less than a week -- at 99% of asking price!

victorian home in andersonville
One week was all it took for this gorgeous four bedroom home to obtain an approved contract. I think our client said it best: “[David] came to the table with a strategic plan to maximize the price we received for the house. He helped us every step of the way in executing the plan that enabled us to sell our house for over $100k more than the other realtors recommended we list our home for”
We were also able to help our sellers by offering design services, and helping to source contractors and painters in order to ensure that the home would show beautifully.
loft in roscoe village
When my clients said that they wanted a unique space unlike anything else they had seen, we knew we had our work cut out for us. After looking at the spectrum from new construction to rehabbed vintage, we stepped into one of the most unique lofts we had seen, and we knew we were in the right spot. The kitchen was formerly part of the elevator shaft of this old pencil factory, and the soaring ceilings gave the home an airy
vintage uptown condo with balcony and fireplace
With a conservative budget, and big dreams, my client and I sat down to discuss her wish list for her future new condo. She wanted two bedrooms, outdoor space AND A fireplace. We discussed how she may only get two (or one!) out of three – BUT with persistence and determination, we found a home that had all three – less than a quarter mile from Lake Michigan!
the most fabulous garden apartment ever
When some people think garden apartment, they think dark – but not this. First, you enter the home via your own private entry, through a gallery, and finally into the space. Large windows on three sides bring not only tons of light throughout the day but also a gorgeous summer cross breeze when you don’t feel like having the A/C on. Three bedrooms and a huge dining room made this English garden home feel like a penthouse. A private terrace acts as your own personal "urbs in hortis."
historic oak park home
My buyers wanted something that felt like home from the moment they walked in the door. This home had it all. Four bedrooms. A gracious living and dining room. A great room for entertaining, huge yard and just steps to the historic Frank Lloyd Wright district of Oak Park. We took our time and make sure we found the perfect fit!
vintage 3 bedroom in southport corridor
Coming from Manhattan, this young social media professional wanted something that was had vintage charm, but was also comfortable for entertaining both large and small groups. We found her a perfect home just steps from the shopping, restaurants and entertainment of the Southport Corridor – her preferred neighborhood. Original molding, a beautiful sun porch, and a grand dining room all came together with tree top views. A brick fireplace and a back deck helped to seal the deal. Just in time for her annual New Year’s Eve dinner party. (oh, and at 4% off of list price!)
bowmanville townhome
Finding a single family home in the city can be a challenge. Finding one with large bedrooms, a finished basement, outdoor space, a fireplace – and in a quiet neighborhood – can be even MORE difficult. Together, our client and I managed to find the perfect townhome. Situated on a wide, tree-lined street, this house had it all. Including a purchase price below asking.
custom new construction home
After searching high and low for a home that checked off all the boxes of my clients' wish list, we came to the decision that "if we can't find it, we should build it!" We were able to find a gorgeous home on a quiet, one way tree-lined street that had been framed out, but not much more! By getting into the deal early, we were able to make this a truly custom home from paint colors to tile selections to amazing "extras" such as custom millwork, custom built-ins and glamourous lighting -- all of which combined to make this a truly one-of-a-kind home.
Evanston Pied-a-terre
Wanting to be closer to her adult children, this buyer needed a high amenity building where she could easily come and go as needed without having to worry about a thing. It was also essential that she be able to walk to the fabulous shopping and restaurants of downtown Evanston. This lovely two bedroom home with Lake Michigan views and a breezy terrace fit the bill perfectly -- and we negotiated 3% off the asking price.
